Every Friday, I ♥ Faces offers a fix-it challenge to anyone wanting some practice editing photos. I usually have a ton of photos of my own to edit, but this Friday my editing is done for the week, so I thought I would give it a try.
Here is the original cutie pie!

My first thought was to crop the photo so that this beauty was really the focal point of the whole picture. Then, in Photoshop CS3, I did the following:
- Curves adjustment layer to color correct the skin tone. (Too much yellow)
- Ran Daily Vitamin action from Kubota Artistic Actions II
- Ran Powder My Nose action of MCP Actions on her face and arms
Here’s what I got:

Then, I took it a step further because this photo was just screaming black and white to me.
- Ran Skin Cream from Kubota Artistic Pack I
- Ran Chocolate Syrup from Kubota Artistic Pack I
- Darkened the edges a bit using MCP Actions Touch of Light/Touch of Darkness
I’m very happy with the results.

Brad Jolly - Great edit. I liked both your color and BW versions – both look super! I need to check out the Kubota actions and the Totally Rad actions too. I’m using the MCP Actions from Jodi Friedman, and I’ve been really pleased with them. Anyway, great job!August 28, 2009 – 8:08 pm
