Not even a smidgen of pink in this picture, but it goes along with another definition of the pink theme this week. This is my friend Vera, who asked me to photograph her and her family the day before she began chemotherapy and radiation in her treatment for breast cancer. Here she shares a special moment with her grandson. Vera donated her lovely long hair to Locks of Love the very next morning and then went for her first chemo appointment. That was several months ago.
Vera doesn’t look like this anymore. She has lost weight and all her hair, but not her spirit. She is fighting hard. We are praying for her.
