There are a group of women in my town that get together every week and give service to others. They do this work without pay or recognition. They are part of a humanitarian group that has been meeting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel on Bille Road in Paradise for years and years. And while the members of the groups change with the passage of time, the goals of the group do not. They sew and tie quilts. They prepare hygiene kits. They put together kits for newborns. These items are shipped to the main church’s humanitarian department in Salt Lake City, then distributed to areas of need – like the earthquake tortured Haiti.
Along with giving loving service, these women enjoy visiting with each other and becoming friends. And let me tell ya, they are a fun bunch!

Donations, both monetary and supplies, are always needed. Helping hands are too.
Looks like they have space for one more. Why not you?
