FREE Beginning Photography Class!
Coming Fall 2010
A few times a year, I offer a Beginning Photography Class to the community at no charge. That’s right! Completely free! In my class, I will teach you how to take your digital camera off Auto mode, and how to really take control of your photography. Here are some of the topics we will cover:
- Exposure: ISO, Aperture, and Speed; Subjective exposure; Metering; White Balance
- Portraits: Individual and Groups posing; Photographing children, Lighting for faces; Photographer placement
- Landscape Photography: Lines and Shapes; Composition
- Look to the light! When to use and when not to use a flash: Fill Flash
- A Look at Digital Photo Editing
That’s a lot to pack into just 4 hours! We’ll also be practicing the techniques we learn on live models.
To take full advantage of the information and techniques taught in this class, you will need a digital camera that allows you to change your ISO, Aperture, Speed, and White Balance. It’s best to check your camera manual to make sure your camera offers these options. DSLR’s and most mid to upper range point-and-shoot cameras do!
What to bring to class: your camera (of course!), your camera’s manual (for your reference), paper & pen
This class is geared for ages 14 and older. No childcare is provided.
I am also available for individual photography training. My rate is $25 for an hour class.
Photoshop training is also available for $35 per hour.
